How do I join?
Joining is really easy! You can purchase your membership through AUSA either online or in person. Check our page here with more details.
What if I do't know anything about photography?
Having prior knowledge is not required. All we ask from you is being passionate about photography. Our aim is to make the platform as open as possible so that more experienced members can share their tricks and tips. We are all here to learn.
We are not professional photographers either.
We are not professional photographers either.
What if I don't have a dsrl?
Having a camera is not required. Most of our activities will involve taking pictures, but it is up to you what equipment to use.
How much does it cost to hire you?
AUPS is a non-profit organisation. Hence it cannot be hired.
We very often work in cooperation with other societies on campus covering their events in exchange for a meal and reimbursement for transportation for the photographer or a small donation. Details can be discussed according to the specifics of the event (e.g. number of photographers requested, amount of hours, size of the event).
Please be aware that:
- our photographers are not professional;
- besides the amount of hours spent taking pictures, photographers spent a great amount of time processing them. If you have a deadline for your photos, please let us know beforehand. Don't forget most of our photographers are students, hence their priority is studying;
- pictures taken during events will also be published on our media platform with our logo and the photographer's (unless agreed otherwise);
- we always value copyrights;
If you, however, would like to request a specific photographer among our members for your event, you can contact her/him directly. In that case, the photographer will act/work independently. We will not take any responsibility for your agreements.

when do you meet up?
do you have a dark room?
Unfortunately not; we primarily work with digital cameras. However, if you want to develop you picture, we can get you in touch with a shop in town that specialises in film.
